Biomaterials
This TWA was based on the recognition that the performance of replacement materials used in the human body cannot simply be predicted from the properties in normal environments. Original objectives were concerned with two aspects: wear testing of bioengineering materials and cytotoxicity testing of wear debris of bioengineering materials.
