TWA 0
VAMAS Strategy and Impact Assessment
TWA 0 was created in 2020 to manage activities related to providing a framework for efforts that serve the entire VAMAS community, and to enable incubation of technical activities for nucleating new TWAs in areas of emerging interest.
In 2025, the activities were split into Strategic and Technical projects to enable focused management of each effort.
S Projects (Strategic)
maintain and support the
viability and relevance of VAMAS through continuous engagement to stakeholders,
innovation in communications, and improved operational efficiency.
- S1 Stakeholder Outreach
- S2 Awards and Recognition
- S3 Impact Communication
- S4 Update of TWA Initiation and Operation Guidance
T Projects (Technical)
enable initiation of technical
efforts that do not fit into a current TWA, allowing for responsive exploration
and development of materials topic areas needing pre-standardization research.
- T3 Diblock coploymers
- T4 Thermal properties of silicon nanowires
- T5 Key metrological parameters for Lithium-ion cell standardization
- T6 Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)
Hosted efforts benefit through access to institutional knowledge in planning, outreach, scoping, and connections to participants in all regions.
